Randall + West is a small urban and regional planning firm in Ithaca, New York, with projects across upstate New York. We are seeking a motivated planning or landscape architecture student to join us for a paid internship this summer.
Our intern will have the opportunity to work on a variety of projects for municipal and private clients, including a Natural Resources Inventory; creation of form-based design standards and design guidelines; development of a local green building policy; and advancing the LEED for Neighborhood Development certification of a local mixed-use adaptive reuse project. Our intern will be an integral part of the project team, responsible for development of written content and graphics for reports and plans, as well as design of public engagement materials and participation in those efforts. Randall + West takes a collaborative, multi-disciplinary approach to our urban and rural design projects.
Our intern must be working toward or have recently earned a degree in landscape architecture and/or planning. Successful candidates will be detail oriented with strong graphic design and communication skills and proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud and SketchUp / Rhino / Revit. We offer the opportunity to develop a greater understanding of planning and urban design principles and to expand your portfolio and work experience. This paid hourly position offers 25 hours a week, June through August.
